The Nursery years
Playgroup, Nursery 1 and Nursery 2. Small rooms, familiar adults, and a day built out of songs, stories, sand, water and a great deal of talking. Early phonics and number sense arrive inside the play rather than instead of it.

What parents ask us
How long does settling in take?
Usually a week or two. We start with short days and build up, and you will get a message each day telling you honestly how it went — not just that it went well.
Are nappies a problem?
Not at all. Playgroup and Nursery 1 are set up for it, and toilet training is something we do with you rather than to a deadline.
What about food?
A morning snack and a hot lunch are included. Tell us about allergies on the admission form and the kitchen and the class teacher both hold the list.
